We offer authentic history, mixed with modern day amenities. Whisking you through the Piney Woods of east Texas is an extraordinary experience. Our pampered comfort, during this four-hour journey offers you the perfect amount of time for celebrating; exchanging or renewing vows, the pre- or post- wedding group adventure, the special anniversary, birthday party or reunion of dear friends, can all be made that much more interesting by planning it onboard a train.

On-Train Celebrations

We whisk you into an extraordinary place in pampered comfort as the four-hour trip offers you an exclusive environment for celebrating.
Guests are welcome to bring their own celebratory treats, such as cakes and cookies, along with easy-to-use decorations for the event!
Clubhouse
The ClubHouse is a dining hall that has large screened in windows, a full kitchen, and seating for approximately 75 people. Great for reunions, birthday parties, and other gatherings such as wedding receptions.
Lakeside Pavilion
Enjoy a picnic or social barbeque under this rustic lakeside pavilion with picnic tables, grills, and a nearby playground.
Take time to cast your line in this 15-acre lake. Many have boasted of the variety of fish: crappie, catfish, striped bass, sauger, walleye, smallmouth bass, saugeye, bream, bluegill and largemouth bass.
Lakeside Pavilion’s capacity is 50 people.
Historic Catholic Chapel at Rusk Depot
A short, casual walk from the Rusk Depot will bring you to the front promenade of the oldest Catholic Church in Cherokee County. Originally constructed on Main Street in downtown Rusk in 1905, the historic chapel was relocated to the Texas State Railroad grounds in 1980. The interior is original to its construction and has hosted community-wide services as well as weddings and vow renewals.
With a presence taking one back to the early days of the schoolhouse and church congregation, everyone will enjoy the beautiful stained-glass windows and wooden bench pews.
The chapel capacity is 50 people.
